Rebuilding Faith at ACK Mabamani–Kinango
Greetings in Christ’s name from ACK Mabamani Church in Kinango, Kwale County. As we journey through this Lenten season—a time of renewal, reflection, and restoration—we come to you with both heavy hearts and great hope. Our beloved church, once a spiritual home to many, now stands in ruins. But with your help, we believe a resurrection is near—not only of a building, but of faith, fellowship, and future.
From 50 to 9: A Congregation in Decline
CACK Mabamani was once home to a vibrant community of worshippers. Today, due to the collapse of the church structure, only 9 faithful members remain. The once-strong congregation has dwindled, not from lack of faith, but from the lack of a safe, sacred space.
The abandoned church building is no longer usable, forcing many to worship under the open sky—or not at all. The visible decline has cast doubt on the church’s role and impact in the local community.
Facing New Challenges
Meanwhile, the Muslim community in the area has grown stronger through organized efforts:

While we honor interfaith harmony, we also recognize the urgent need for the Christian community to reclaim its voice and presence. Social stigma, conversion pressures, and the absence of a church home have discouraged many—especially the youth.
We are praying and planning to rebuild ACK Mabamani—a new structure made from local materials, capable of welcoming up to 100 congregants. Members of the congregation have already committed to contributing building stones. What we lack in resources, we hold in faith.
What We Need: A Budget of Ksh 600,000
To complete the church building and restore the heart of our Christian community, we are seeking support to raise Ksh 600,000. This will cover:
